Peeps Marshmallow Fluff Dip

peeps-fluff-dip-recipe
You’ve probably heard of marshmallow fluff dip, but today I’m bringing you a Peeps Marshmallow Fluff dip. And yes, it is made with Peeps!

There is such an odd fascination with the brightly colored, sugar coated candies that go by the name of Peeps. Easter is the holiday that made them famous, but now it seems you can find Peeps at just about any holiday and in a multitude of flavors. People seem to love or hate them. I did eat my fair share of them as a kid and they are as much a part of my childhood Easter memories as Easter Egg hunts at my house and my grandmother’s house with my cousins are.

I’ve also seen some very humorous photos on Facebook in the last few days involving surgical procedures to Peeps. Has anybody else seen those? Crazy!

Well, this dip doesn’t involve any type of surgery, but it does involve melting a lot of those candies in the color/flavor of your choice. That’s the super fun part of this dip. I chose pink Peeps when I made this one, but you could use any color or even use multiple colors (melted separately) and then layer the dip.

This Peeps Marshmallow Fluff Dip is simple to make and would be a fun dessert dip for a kids Easter party. It is also a great way to use up extra Peeps that are laying around after Easter (if they make it that long in your house). Be warned though, just like eating the candy itself, you will end up with a sugar high from this dip 🙂 Serve with graham crackers, graham sticks, or vanilla wafers. You could also serve with fresh fruit.

This year, I will be celebrating Easter and cheering on the University of Virginia basketball team who is playing in the Elite Eight game in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1995 on the same day. Woohoo!

Happy Easter Everyone!
