I’m a big caramel fan! When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Sugar Daddy candy. Does anyone remember those? They are basically caramel lollipops . Man, those things were good.
My caramel tastes are more sophisticated these days and I like to try to convince myself that eating caramel with apples is a better choice. That’s totally a healthier option right?
Caramel anything is good in my book, but caramel and apples are such a quintessential combination especially in the fall. This caramel dip makes enjoying both of them together super easy.
Plain caramel sauce is great for dipping apples in, but this dip recipe takes it to a whole other level with it’s creamy fluffiness that is so sweet and delightful for dipping.

What kind of caramel sauce should you use for caramel apple dip?
You can use your favorite store bought or make your own caramel sauce from scratch for this recipe. Either will work great.
How to keep apple slices from turning brown?
My go to is lemon juice. I usually just squeeze a little bit of lemon juice on the apples once sliced, but this does leave a slight lemon taste.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Whip the cream and set aside.
Step 2: Combine the butter and cream cheese together
Step 3: Mix in sugar and vanilla
Step 4: Add caramel sauce and combine
Step 5: Fold in whipped cream
Step 6: Top with extra caramel and toffee bits if desired
Caramel Apple Dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipped cream
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup caramel topping, homemade or store bought
- extra caramel and toffee bits, optional
Instructions
- Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Combine the butter and cream cheese together in a bowl with a mixer.
- Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Add caramel sauce and combine.
- Fold in whipped cream.
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Optionally, top with more caramel and toffee bits before serving
