Inspired by a summertime favorite, this 4 ingredient Strawberry Milkshake Dip is a sweet and cool dip for those hot summer days. Serve with fresh strawberries as a fruit dip or vanilla wafers or graham crackers for dessert.
Summer is in full swing here in Virginia! We have had quite the heat wave this year like a lot of the United States. Some of my in-laws were just in town visiting from New Orleans and commented that the temperatures were higher here than at home. I like warm weather, but I don’t like it super hot (upper 90s) and humid. Low 80s is good with me 🙂 so I will be glad when it cools down just a tad.
Though when it is this hot, it does make for great ice cream and milkshake weather. Do you have a favorite ice cream or milkshake flavor? I have too many to pick just one.
OK, so before I get to the recipe, I have a funny story to share. I mentioned that we had out of town visitors recently. Well, our golden retriever thinks he is the center of the universe (OK, we may have spoiled him just a bit) and this becomes very apparent when we have house guests. He just doesn’t understand why there are people sitting on HIS couch and why he can’t climb up right next to them and why they are not giving him their undivided attention. After all, they are here to see him, right? Please tell me that we are not the only ones that have this problem? lol
So I loved the idea of a Strawberry Milkshake Dip and couldn’t wait to share this with you all. What a fun summer treat! And did I mention it only has 4 ingredients? This dip is so easy to whip together too and can be made ahead of time which is always a plus. You can dress it up with all your favorite milkshake toppings too…whipped cream, a cherry, or even sprinkles for extra fun. I cut a cute straw in half to add to the milkshake theme as well.
Kick back on a lazy summer day and enjoy!
