Apple Salsa with Pomegranate

Fresh apple salsa with pomegranate makes a great appetizer or snack any time of year. A little savory, a little sweet and a little spicy! It’s refreshing and healthy!

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • salt, to taste

Instructions

  •  Remove the seeds from the jalapeno (or leave them in if you like more heat)
  • Dice the apple and the jalapeno
  • Place the diced apples, jalapenos and pomegranate seeds in a bowl
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl and stir together
  • Let the salsa sit for at least 30 minutes so the flavors will meld

Notes

You could also use half of two different apple varieties like I did in these photos.
