Easy dessert cheese ball recipe that tastes like apple pie. This caramel apple pie cheese ball is a great treat for your next fall gathering.

Caramel Apple Pie Cheese Ball

  • 1 8-oz block of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup apples finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 prepared pie crust cooked
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling


  • Crumble pie crust into crumbs. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat.
  • Add the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg and cook 10-15 minutes over medium heat until apples are soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Using a mixer on medium speed, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  • Fold in cooled apple mixture until combined.
  • Lay a large piece of plastic wrap on the counter and spoon the mixture onto the center of the plastic wrap. Pull up the sides, pick up the plastic wrap, and transfer to a small bowl.
  • Press into the bowl to form a ball. Cover and place in the freezer for several hours or until firm.
  • Once the cheese ball is firm, flip out of the bowl onto a serving plate and remove plastic wrap. Press pie crumbs into ball until covered. Drizzle with caramel sauce


Serve this caramel apple pie cheese ball with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or apple slices.
