Tips and Tricks
Can you use Cool Whip Lite and / or a low fat cream cheese?
Yes, both of these will work just fine if you desire a lower fat option.
What can you dip in chocolate chip dip?
Seriously, just about anything! Strawberries are one of my favorites to balance the sweetness of the dip. Fruit also makes it more healthy, right? 🙂
One of my new favorite sweet cookies for dipping are wafer cookies. You could also use chocolate cookies, graham crackers, vanilla wafers or even animal cookies.
What type of chocolate chips to use?
I recommend mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are small in size so great for use in things like dips.
But if all you have on hand are regular size chocolate chips, then those will work just fine too.
Can you make this recipe ahead of time?
Yes, you definitely can. This dip should last 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
Don’t forget to thaw the cool whip ahead time!
One mixing bowl, a stand or hand mixer, a spatula and just 5 minutes is all that you need for this simple recipe!
