I recommend mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are small in size so great for use in things like dips.

Yes, you definitely can. This dip should last 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
Don’t forget to thaw the cool whip ahead time!

Chocolate Chip Dip
- 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 8 oz cool whip, thawed
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Using a mixer on medium speed, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy cream.
- Fold in cool whip and chocolate chips
- Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving
