Tips and Tricks
Lettuce
Iceberg, green leaf or romaine lettuce will all work well in this dip.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes have a lot of moisture in them. When you dice your tomatoes, make sure to seed them and squeeze out excess juice.
Bacon
Crispy bacon works best for this recipe.
Add Cheese
I didn’t include it in the recipe, but shredded cheese would be a great addition if you want to add another layer and some more flavor.
Presentation
Lining your dish with lettuce leaves adds a fun presentation for serving. You could do the whole dish or just add a few leaves like I did in these photos.
Recipe FAQs
I found these little mini toast crackers that are the perfect dipper to keep with the BLT theme. Crostini or other toasted bread or sturdy crackers would work well too. Cucumbers would be a good veggie option too.
Yes. I would recommend mixing the cream cheese layer ahead of time and spreading into your serving bowl. Then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Before serving, add the remaining ingredients.
You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 -3 days, but the lettuce and bacon may get soggy.
